Elmer was named in honor of his breeder, Elmer Johnson, who sold me his Curly herd when he became gravely ill. Elmer came to Halvorson Farms in the autumn of 2004, a young colt just weaned from his mother, Kizzy's Little Sue. Both sire, Bonnie Prince Alder, and dam are intensely Curly bred.
